Natyom Dance Academy proudly showcases the progress of it's students in two annual recitals - Spring and Fall.
Natyotsav, the spring dance recital attracts a larger audience and has a festival feel to it.
Students who attended summer workshops present what they learnt during the summer in the Natyom Fall Festival which is presented in October around Dussera and Diwali.
We have students from different religious faiths at Natyom Dance Academy. Everyone is respected and have a chance to learn about seasonal Indian classical dance festival themes such as Ganesh Chaturthi, Navratri, Dussera, Diwali, Christmas, Pongal etc.
The two annual events also help new children and adults merge into our existing Natyom family with ease.
The bonding that students and families develop especially during the Fall festival in October forms determination to continue more hard work and preparation for the grand Spring recital held at the Irving Arts Center Carpentar Hall.
Just like preparing for any major Indian event, families enjoy attending classes, rehearsals, dress up & make up sessions, group activities and picnics.
Finally, in the month of May, after the Natyotsav event, we conduct exams for students and teachers to monitor skills and progress. At Natyom, we hope to inspire each child through holistic learning to develop a sincere affection for Indian classical dance that would go on to last a life time.
